Organizational Employment Services

Organizational employment refers to jobs located at our facilities. Workers are assigned to the wood shop, sewing department, recycling area, and contract work. The Organizational Employment Program can help individuals learn basic vocational skills that are needed to become more independent and self-reliant. This is accomplished through employment in a structured setting with close supervision. The following areas are emphasized:

• Social Interaction Skills

• Grooming and Dressing Appropriately

• Attendance and Punctuality

• Appropriate Behaviors and Conduct

• Motivation

• Responsibility

• Safety

• Speed And Accuracy

• Following Directions

The progress of each individual is monitored through goals and objectives. When these are reached, workers are then ready to become involved in alternative programs.
