Job Coach Opening

TRICO is seeking a Part-Time Job Coach for the Kingsford location.

A Job Coach provides direct and individualized assistance and supervision to disabled persons, singly or as part of a 3-4 person work crew,  so they may learn and maintain a job.  Responsibilities include: job task analysis, soft skill training, teaching work skills, observing and recording progress, developing job modifications, and identifying and providing accommodations in accordance with the disability, entering records into a database, and working the businesses served in a professional manner.  

 

This is a part-time position primarily with Janitorial cleaning duties, and may include horticultural and lawn care work in summer months. Hours are between 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm, Monday through Friday (no holiday or weekend hours required.)

Additional requirements include good organizational skills, the ability to work independently supervising a crew of 3-4 people, and the ability to meet physical requirements of the job and assure quality standards are met. Background and driving record check and a valid driver's license required. Experience working with persons with disabilities preferred. Supervisory experience helpful.

Job Opening: Skills Coach, Kingsford

TRICO Opportunities, Inc. is seeking a part-time Skills Coach to be part of our employment team. The Skills Coach position offers fulfilling, part-time employment for an individual interested in working in the human services field.

Responsibilities include training individuals with disabilities. Duties include supervising day to day work activities; teaching appropriate work and social skills; job task analysis; data collection and recording; and integrating training with production requirements.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work with diverse skill levels is essential. Experience working with the disabled preferred. Must successfully complete background and motor vehicle record checks.

Job hours are Monday through Thursday 7:30am to 2:30pm.

The primary task of this position is to Job Coach, or provide direct assistance to people with disabilities who are experiencing barriers to employment.  Our team approach allows for a negotiable schedule and for the incorporation of any number of personal skills, assets and experience that are brought to the table:  Supervision, 1:1 client interaction, teaching and training, documentation, computer skills (word processing, knowledge of spreadsheets, databases), carpentry or horticultural skills, knowledge of industrial processes and manufacturing, custodial and building maintenance, or working directly with youth, business partners and school systems.  Quality, attention to detail, and communication skills are essential. TRICO's ultimate goal is to discover the interests of our clients and to find a niche in the community that not only speaks to those interests but also benefits participating businesses and other partners.
