I am passionate about TRICO's mission because I enjoy  helping people. People are capable to anything they put their minds to. They just need people to believe in them.  I find purpose in teaching not only job skills but also life skills. After all, that's what life is all about.  Learning and growing; finding a path for you.

My goal has always been about nurturing and being supportive in any environment where individuals feel safe, valued, and empowered. I've been in this field for 20 years and have learned a lot from others along the way. I am proud to be a job coach and support staff.

I grew up in Port Huron, MI, A tourist town influenced by Thomas Edison.  I'm more of a Nikola Tesla theorist myself. I have always gone against the grain. Who I am has been influenced by the universe, nature, certain people, animals, and music.  During childhood, I met a girl with Cystic fibrosis and summer camp. I also had a broken arm and wrist, limiting our groups activities.  We connected and a wonderful counselor championed her inclusion.  This instilled in my a profound respect for the challengers faced by individuals with disabilities. At 18 or 19, I worked as a cleaner on a cancer unit.  Interacting with patients and just brining them moments of laughter brought a sense of fullfilment, solidifying my desire to pursue a path in helping others. Life isn't always easy, but being a good person is.
