Production and
Sustainability

TRICO provides recycling services for paper, cardboard and newsprint, confidential docu-ment shredding, commercial sewing and compost. We also manufacture wooden pallets in a variety of sizes, specialty shipping containers, picnic tables, signs, fencing and stakes. Through our Supported Employment groups we provide lawn care, horticulture and landscape services as well as custodial and commercial housekeeping services.

Employment Services

Nearly half of our staff has over 22 years experience delivering professional and personalized services through TRICO. We provide:

  • Vocational Evaluation and Assessment

  • Pre-vocational Skills training

  • Transitions services and career exploration for students in conjunction with local schools and the Dickinson-Iron Intermediate School District

  • Rehabilitation plan development and work adjustment training

  • Supported Employment

  • Job Development and follow-along, including help with job readiness, job placement, and job retention

  • For employers: pre-screened workers and economic incentives

Former TRICO Program Participant Selected for "Take Your Legislator To Work Day"
 

Ken Bal, an employee at Tadych’s Econo Foods in Iron Mountain, has been selected by the Michigan Developmental Disability Council to host State Representative Ed McBroom and Senator Tom Casperson for "Take Your Legislator To Work Day".

TRICO Awarded ODEP Grant
 

TRICO Opportunities was selected as 1 of only 4 organizations statewide to participate in a Technical Assistance Grant sponsored by the US Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP.) TRICO is the only participant selected from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
